Ohmygolf needs your advice!

What would you find useful as statistics?

Here are some suggestions:

  • G.I.R.
  • Fairway hits
  • Fairway miss (right/left)
  • Water hazard
  • Sand saves
  • Penalties
  • Chip-in

Tell me what you think!

For starter like me, penalities and chip-in is useful for my statistic data.

Thanks. Smiley

Thanks for your advice Jackieta! Smiley

I'll work on the statistics implementation in both the software and the website at the end of June.

I believe the ability to input any additional statistical data should be optional, or the input screen will become too cluttered for many of us less statistically retentive individuals.

I would love if I (for each round saved in the system) could have the following readout:
G.I.R and Putts per round, at least in the statistics pages online, this could give me a good indication of the relationship between a good score and for example G.I.R. or putts per  round.

Otherwise like "jenkinsrus" said: it should be optional how much you enable (maybe in a preferences page?).

Another cool thing would be if you could add more games, i.e. four ball, four ball (high/low)

Thank you  Cheesy

Hi there Smiley

G.I.R. and putts per round are already available when wiewing a scorecard on the website. There is no total for G.I.R though. I'll add it.

For the statistics input while playing, they will be optional and on a another screen than the main.

Adding support for more games might be interesting.. but I need to fix/improve the rest of the software before adding new stuff Smiley

Thanks for your feedbacks Cheesy

I will like to be able to enter the following to track my progess further:

1) GIR
2) Fairway hits
3) Fairway miss
4) Mulligans
    - we do this all the time with my buddies since we are beginners

Thanks

The following statistics would work great for me and I know they're used more widely for identifying short game / long game handicaps and therefore the areas of your game that need the most work.

  • GIR.
  • Number of putts.
  • Length of the first putt.
  • Chip/pitch shots within 50yds.
  • Chip/pitch shots within 50yds successfully landing on the green.
  • Sand shots within 50yds.
  • Sand shots within 50yds successfully landing on the green.

The following website has additional information:

Your software is great, as is the website.  Keep up the wonderful work!
